It doesn't even feel like spring has fully arrived yet in the Ribble Valley - but British Summer Time started this morning, "Spring forward, Fall back"
Giving us Brits an hour less in bed we don't get back until autumn, but the nights are now an hour lighter - I had a feeling this was going to be abolished this year, but no - we have been saved from gloomy nights for another year!
I know this is a contentious issue on our small Island, many people in the far north want it abolished because the mornings are dark again - and as we no longer need to "dig for victory" it isn't really needed to help feed the country in desperate times, but I like it - I like looking forward to longer days, I like the fact that it is peculiar to us, and I like the fact it confuses people!
So here is a whoop to BST!
have you changed your clocks yet?
And don't forget to fill out your CENSUS forms today! Figure out what your job is, count the bodies sleeping through the hour change - and declare you are a JEDI KNIGHT!
I love this country!

I completed my census online. Being the only occupant there is so much 'skip forward to question ...'
But doing it online it automatically skips to the next appropriate question for you, so much easier.
LOL! Hubby declared himself a Jedi Knight last time round, I'm not sure what he is going to be this time around.
I love our spring forward, fall back time-keeping and I hope it stays that way!

hehe @ the census bit - we have one christian (ie celebrator of christmas & easter), one pagan and 2 jedi knights!!
We remembered the clock change - MIL & boys who spent the weekend together did not!!
Why do they need to ask so many questions, it used to be name, address, age and occupation, now they want to know your life history.

Like you, I love the fact that we have the longer nights to look forward to. I love the fact that we can never rely on our weather, that we can't rest assured it will be fine every day. I love the variety. And I love that we are an island.
Just glad there's only two of us re the Census. It always takes me a couple of days to get over the time change, more so when we lose the hour. Really hate the darkness in winter, but do like the longer days in summer. x
